About Us

Charles Hines and Son, Inc. began with a vision of providing quality services to persons with developmental disabilities. Since 1997, the company has grown in both size and scope, and now offers a variety of services to persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities while keeping the same philosophy and vision of providing exceptional services through innovations.

Through our unique hiring and staffing practices along with our comprehensive training programs, we have maintained our high standards and strong relationships with members /staff.

We offer an array of activities and outings for each of our members. In doing so, we look to promote a high level of social networking with peers of their own populations as well as integrate them into social gatherings with those that do not contain a disability.

We are dedicated to enabling every one of our members to live and experience as rich and fulfilling life as possible. We work with parents, guardians, and all members of our community to develop a welcoming and inclusive environment in the community. We constantly strive for our members to assume their rightful  place as empowered citizens.

Success Stories

To whom it may concern,

I chose Charles Hines and Son because I believed in their mission. My son has special needs, and navigating this world can be daunting, but the staff worked diligently with us to create a plan where he could thrive.

We are truly blessed. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Charles Hines and Son holds a very special place in my heart. God bless you, and every child, and adult you serve.

We like having a place to get the kids together to do crafts every Monday. We also enjoy Mr. & Mrs. Hines for bowling every other Tuesday. They also provide a place and help with the funds for the parties we have throughout the year. It's a great place for everyone to get together to know each other better, dance and have fun. We have really enjoyed everyone and Charles Hines and Son has been a great place for the boys to have fun and interact with others. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Hines and staff.

My son has been a consumer at Charles A. Hines and Son for 20 years.  We have had a few bumps in those 20 years, but I must say that my son has received loyal and excellent care.  His current worker has been with him for 17 of those 20 years.  It goes without saying that I am very pleased.  My son and his worker are like brothers now.  When my son’s worker has needed time away, Charles A. Hines and Son has tried their very best to get my son good people.  No one is an automatic fit, but when that connection is made, it is a strong connection of trust for my son and I.  Others who have worked with my son still keep in touch with him.  There is something about my son that makes a lifelong bond with anyone who works with him.  I must say that Charles A. Hines and Son have gone out of their way to abide by my standards as a parent and find reliable and caring people to help me care for my son.  Hey!  Seventeen years with the same worker should speak volumes.

 “Ms. Chris”
